Canadian-based Emma Donoghue shortlisted for Man Booker Prize
London, Ontario-based Emma Donoghue has been shortlisted for this year's Man Booker Prize for her novel Room. She is amongst five other authors whose work were described by Chair
and former Poet Laureate Sir Andrew Motion, as "We feel sure we've chosen books which demonstrate a rich variety of styles and themes - while in every case providing deep individual pleasures."
The other authors are, Peter Carey's Parrot and Oliver in America, Damon Galgut's Strange Room, Howard Jacobson's The Finkler Question, Andrea Levy's The Long song, and Tom McCarthy's C. The winner will be announced October 12th in London. To read more see the Man Booker Prize official website.
