Join us for songs, books, bounces, and giggles galore. Parents and caregivers are invited to bring their babies and share in this special time.
This hands-on, six week program, is designed for Parents/Caregivers and their children to learn important early literacy skills that will help children to succeed in school. Parents/Caregivers will learn fun activities they can do at home with their child to continue the early literacy learning.
Parent/Caregiver participation is required. Children must be between the ages of 3 and 5 upon registering.
Siblings are not allowed to attend. Registration is required.

we hook up Just Dance 3 for the Xbox360/Kinect. Enjoy snacks as you boogie to classic dance songs as well as some of the most recent chart toppers. Even if you’ve never played come out and have fun.

A three hour workshop on basic game design. Attendees will learn about game design decisions, and will be able to develop the rules and materials for simple table-top games. Registration is required. Register by phone or in person.

The Library is offering another chance to compete against others and show off your skills. This tournament will be played on the PS3 console. Battle on the library’s projection screen with a stereo sound system! Participants under 18 will need to complete a permission form, signed by their parent/guardian: you can get your permission forms here. Snacks will be served and there are prizes for the winners! 2011 is a year of celebration and reflection as Pickering marks its bicentennial year.
